Butte College Hires New Head Women’s Basketball Coach

Butte College announced today it has hired a new head women’s basketball coach, Tyler Newton, Chico. Newton has a strong coaching background serving as assistant Men’s basketball coach for Shasta College from 2013-2015 and most recent, as head coach of the Varsity Girls team at Pleasant Valley High School for two years, winning two conference and section titles. Newton has a master’s degree in athletic administration and coaching from Concordia University, Irvine. Newton will be assisted by Mitch Pratt and Kyle Williams, both of Chico.
